Chongwain Christelle

Bay is a 2014 Mandela Washington Fellow of the Civic Leadership Track at Tulane University, New Orleans – LA and the Founder of Hope for the Needy Association. She is a Certified Chemistry instructor from Cameroon Higher Teachers Training College - E.N.S Bambili and holds an HND in Banking & Finance. She is also the Customer Service Representative of BGFIBank Bamenda.

Bay leads programs in communities centered on promoting socio economic empowerment of youth and women, enhancing multicultural dialogue for peace & security, promoting religious tolerance, preventing/responding to school related gender based violence, child, early/forced marriages & child trafficking in communities in Cameroon.

She has received many national/international awards including The Eye National Award of Excellence for Outstanding leadership/Youth empowerment (October 2014), The Eye National Award of Excellence as Leader of Best Child result-oriented NGO (June 2013), Junior Chamber International Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award for Voluntary Leadership/Contribution to the Welfare of Vulnerable Children (December 2012).

is the training facilitator of IDP Goods. She is a social worker ,a community development specialist and works for the protection and promotion of the rights of indigenous people in Cameroon.

Vumomsi V. Ngwefonta'a

is a social entrepreneur behind the fashion brand VuVu  created in 2014 that produces African inspired cloths and acts as a platform to foster youth exchanges and empower women/girls in African Fashion. She studied Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Buea, became a Mandela Washington Fellow and  a Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur in 2016 because of her passion for fashion and women empowerment. Vumomsi dreams to grow in leaps and bounds while creating a positive impact in the fashion industry in Cameroon. She believes in selfless giving as she hones women's skills in fashion and entrepreneurship and encourages them to leverage on the network to power thriving communities.
